We move your goods across the border — smoothly and professionally

EXPERT Customs Agency is an experienced, AEO-authorised customs broker. Since 2004 we have handled clearance under every customs procedure, along with advisory that ensures your goods meet every requirement — and never get stuck at customs.

What we focus on

Clearance today is more than calculating duty

Customs clearance under every procedure is at the core of our work — and its success comes down to choosing the right procedure, a complete set of documents and good preparation.

01

Clearance under every procedure

Import and export (including import VAT settled in the return under art. 33a), transit, customs warehousing, inward and outward processing, temporary admission, temporary storage, re-import and re-export, end-use.

02

Import requirements & product safety

CE marking and declarations of conformity, plus the remaining non-tariff restrictions. We check what your goods need — before they reach clearance.

03

Advice already at the ordering stage

The cheapest moment to solve a problem is before you buy. Once goods reach clearance the situation can be irreversible and end in a return. We advise earlier.

Why EXPERT

Why clients choose our agency

In customs clearance, diligence, effectiveness and good preparation are what count. That is what we build our partnerships on.

  1. Experience and know-how

Over 20 years of practice reaching back to the time before Poland joined the EU. Changing regulations and non-tariff restrictions are everyday work for us.

  2. AEO status and full guarantees

We hold the AEO certificate, centralised clearance authorisation and a comprehensive guarantee securing customs and tax liabilities.

  3. Every customs procedure

Customs warehousing, inward and outward processing, temporary admission, temporary storage, re-import and re-export, end-use. We choose the procedure that genuinely lowers the cost of clearance.

  4. Nationwide and remote service

We operate at customs offices, designated and approved places across the country. A client at the other end of Poland can be served entirely remotely.

  5. Complete, with logistics

Close cooperation with our sister company ATP Logistic lets us offer a door-to-door service — clearance and transport in one place.

  6. Clear responsibility

We act as a direct representative — in the name and on behalf of the client. We support them legally and logistically at every stage.

Step by step

How working with a new client looks

Our philosophy is preparation. The better we prepare the clearance and documents, the faster goods are released for free circulation.

  1. 1

    Contact and needs analysis

During the first conversation we analyse your situation and briefly outline the options and the requirements involved.

  2. 2

    Power of attorney and formalities

You grant us a power of attorney to act on your behalf. If needed, we simultaneously arrange an EORI number (the EU trader identification number for customs) and set up import VAT settled in the return (art. 33a).

  3. 3

    Preparing the documents

We ask for your commercial documents, review them for correctness and completeness, correct errors and fill any gaps. This is the key stage.

  4. 4

    Customs clearance

Once the goods are presented at the office or approved place, we file the customs declaration — quickly and efficiently. The actual time depends on factors such as document checks and any physical inspection.

  5. 5

    After clearance

We hand over the clearance messages (with an explanation of archiving duties) and a payment note if any customs or tax charges apply.

We work throughout Poland — at customs offices, designated and approved places. Imports are cleared at sea and air ports, among others, and the goods reach the client already in free circulation.

02

Industries we serve

We clear goods from every industry — without limits. Our largest clients come from the broad interior-furnishing sector and the automotive industry.

03

We serve clients in Polish and English. Documents are best in Polish or English — for other languages the customs office may request a translation.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about customs clearance

We have gathered the questions clients ask us most often. Did not find your answer? Call us — we will be glad to help.

How much will the customs charges (duty and VAT) be?

The amount depends on the tariff classification and the value of the goods. To calculate it we need an exact description of the products — sometimes with the detail the Customs Tariff requires.

Once the tariff code is determined, we present a calculation of duty and import VAT.

Which documents are needed for clearance?

The basics are the invoice, the packing list and transport documents (CMR, Bill of Lading or Air Waybill).

Depending on the delivery terms a transport invoice may be needed, and certain goods require additional certificates and declarations.

What are your office hours?

The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:00.

Do you serve clients from all of Poland and remotely?

Yes. Clearance is electronic, so a client at the other end of Poland — or abroad — can be served entirely remotely.

We operate at customs offices, designated and approved places nationwide. For large clients we help obtain authorisation for an approved place at their own premises.

How long does customs clearance take?

We handle clearance quickly and efficiently — counted from the moment of filing, i.e. after the goods are presented at the office or approved place.

We do not quote fixed times, because clearance depends on a number of factors outside the agency’s control, including document checks and physical inspection. Well-prepared documents are the shortest route to fast clearance.

How quickly can we start working together?

Clearance is possible once a correctly signed power of attorney is in place — with an electronic signature we can act within about an hour.

If a company needs an EORI number or VAT settled in the return, each of these formalities usually takes one business day.

Partnership

EXPERT × ATP Logistic — one group

ATP Logistic is our sister freight-forwarding company. That keeps forwarding and the customs agency inside a single group: you order once, deal with one team, and transport and clearance work toward the same deadline. One point of contact instead of juggling a carrier and a customs agent separately.

Clearance + transport

Transport and clearance in one group

ATP Logistic is the sister freight-forwarding company of our agency. EXPERT handles customs clearance, ATP Logistic arranges the transport — together we move your shipment from door to door within a single group.

For you that means one point of contact instead of a separate forwarder and a separate customs agent. There are no gaps in communication between the carrier and the customs agent, documents stay inside one group, and clearance moves in step with the transport — with no stalls between the two.

What the combined service covers

  • Transport arrangement and pick-up at the sender
  • Import and export customs clearance
  • A consistent document flow between forwarder and agency
  • Door-to-door delivery to the recipient
  • One contact and one process — from pick-up to delivery

Either company can be hired on its own — but when transport and clearance run together, you know nothing gets stuck between them.
